Judge orders retrieval of govt land in Bakrani

LARKANA:Anti-Encroachment Tribunal, Larkana Division, Judge Abbas Hyder Gad, has directed revenue authorities to remove illegal occupation of government land in Tharecha village near Bakrani within 20 days.

Applicant Sajid Ali Jatoi had filed an application in the court that Nawab Ali, Sabu Khan, Raza Muhammad, and Himath Khan Rajput had constructed shops and established brick kilns on link road of Garello Road and near Tharecha village which should be retrieved as brick kilns emit poisonous emissions.

The Environmental Protection Agency reported to the court that brick kilns are extremely hazardous for human beings, hence, these should be far away from residential areas. Executive Engineer Roads said in his report that 55 ft of both sides of the road are government property, hence, any encroachment made on the area is illegal.

The judge ordered the assistant commissioner, deputy director anti-encroachment and other relevant officers of Bakrani to remove unlawful occupation of government land within 20 days, hand over its possession to the Irrigation Department and submit a compliance report in the court.
