Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazriyati (JUI-N) District Quetta Ameer, Moulana Qari Mehrullah, and General Secretary, Moulana Qari Abdul Wali Farooqi, on Wednesday called on authorities to resolve the persistent issue of low gas pressure in Muslim Ittehad Colony and its surrounding areas.

In a joint statement, the leaders lamented that despite bringing the matter to the attention of the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL) in Quetta, the issue had not been addressed, leaving residents to bear the brunt of inadequate gas supply amid the harsh winter.

They emphasized that depriving citizens of such a basic necessity during the winter season was an act of injustice. The JUI-N had initially planned to protest the ongoing issue but postponed their demonstration after receiving assurances from SSGCL that the problem would be resolved. However, with no tangible improvements, residents continue to suffer.

The JUI-N leaders reiterated their demand for the immediate restoration of adequate gas pressure in the affected areas and have warned of potential protests if the issue remains unresolved.
