Karachi, Adviser to the CM Sindh on Fisheries, Livestock, and Human Settlement, Syed Najmi Alam, has ordered the immediate demolition of illegal constructions at the Karachi Fish Harbor. During an emergency visit, he emphasized the urgency of addressing issues that affect the local fishing industry and the export of fisheries, declaring that such matters are a top priority and negligence will not be tolerated.

He was accompanied by MD Ali Gul Sanjrani and Director of Operations Dr. Muhammad Asim Karim. The adviser also reviewed the harbor’s cleanliness and discussed lifting the ban imposed by the European Union by implementing effective measures. Further, he explored welfare initiatives for fishermen, including training and equipping them to handle emergencies, and announced plans for educational programs for their children.

His visit underscores the government’s commitment to revitalize the harbor and enhance its operational standards by removing unauthorized structures and ensuring compliance with international export requirements.
