Four alleged dacoits were arrested in an injured state after two separate intense shootouts with law enforcement agencies in different parts of the city, while in a tragic incident in another area, a man committed suicide.
The first encounter occurred in Orangi Town’s Sector 11 ½, Yaqoobabad, where two individuals were arrested following a police shootout. The suspects were identified as Motion son of Aijaz and Adeel son of Sakhawat.
Following the exchange of fire, authorities recovered two pistols, bullets, multiple mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the possession of the arrested individuals. The injured suspects were shifted to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention.
In a similar incident in District Central, another police encounter took place near Zain-ul-Abideen Imambargah in Shadman Town, Sector 14-B. Two more alleged dacoits, Shoaib son of Niaz Ali and Sajjad Ali son of Ghulam Ali, were arrested after being injured.
From the scene, law enforcement personnel recovered two pistols, bullets, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle. Similar to the suspects in the Orangi Town incident, these two individuals were also shifted to a medical facility for treatment.
Additionally, in the Manghopir area, authorities reported an incident of suicide at Saima Arabian Villas. Reportedly, 50-year-old Iftikhar Ahmed son of Sami Ahmed, took his own life by shooting himself.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. A police spokesperson confirmed that investigations into all three incidents are underway.
