One suspect was injured while another managed to escape during an exchange of fire between law enforcement agencies and alleged criminals near Gulshan-e-Maymar. The incident occurred when officials from the Malir Cantonment police station were on routine patrol and were fired upon by armed individuals. In retaliatory firing by the police, one attacker was injured. The injured suspect has been identified as Ayan alias Shado. His accomplice managed to escape from the scene. Authorities are investigating and a search is underway for the escaped suspect.
