Teachers of municipal schools protested today at the New Karachi Town Office due to the nonpayment of salaries. The protesters stated that they have not received their salaries for the past two months, which has increased their financial difficulties. Both male and female teachers participated in the protest, chanting slogans in support of their demands while holding banners and placards.

The teachers mentioned that there is a lack of educational facilities in the municipal schools of New Karachi Town, and the nonpayment of salaries is a criminal negligence. They stated that despite the approval of the time scale, the delay in salaries is intolerable.

Chairman of New Karachi Town, Muhammad Yousuf, Municipal Commissioner Ayaz Hameed Ullah Baloch, and Vice Chairman Shoaib bin Zaheer met with the teachers and listened to their issues. Muhammad Yousuf said that he is aware of the teachers’ problems and prioritizes the timely payment of their salaries.

He further mentioned that investigations into administrative irregularities are ongoing and that teachers will soon be paid their salaries according to their rights. Vice Chairman Shoaib bin Zaheer assured that steps are being taken to resolve the teachers’ issues, and the salary payments will commence shortly.

The teachers participating in the protest postponed their demonstration following the administration’s assurances, expressing hope that their financial issues will be resolved soon.
