The increasing issues of unrest and unemployment in Karachi need to be addressed at the administrative level rather than being given a political spin. MQM Pakistan’s Chairman Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stated that the unrest in the city is rooted in administrative, not political, problems, and efforts are being made to resolve them.

This he stated while talking to the President of ANP Sindh Shahi Syed who met him at the MQM’s Bahadurabad Markaz here today. Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui mentioned that Karachi’s peace is linked to Pakistan’s stability and that the city should not be pushed back to its troubled past. He said the government is responsible when tanker drivers operate vehicles under the influence or without a license, and fatalities in such incidents are equivalent to intentional murder.

He further stated that the city’s police are non-local and questioned who permits dumpers to enter the city. He emphasized that the administrative system in the city is larger than the political system and that it is essential to know who is managing it.

Shahi Syed also termed this issue as administrative and said that political leadership must come together to solve these problems.

Shahi Syed pointed out that Karachi’s real issues are unemployment and unrest, and political leadership needs to collaborate to find solutions.

Mustafa Kamal echoed the sentiment that no driver or immigrant leaves home with harmful intentions, and the issue should be resolved administratively.
