Kathua rape victim’s counsel invited to HRC session in Geneva

Srinagar, September 17, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Deepika Singh Rajawat, the counsel for Kathua rape and murder victim girl, Aasifa, has been invited to the 39th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Wednesday. The invitation to Rajawat was extended by the International Human Rights Association of American Minorities (IHRAAM).

Rajawat who hails from a Kashmiri Pandit family of Karihama, Kupwara, Kashmir, is scheduled to attend the 39th session of the Human Rights Council on September 19. Rajawat is representing the rape and murder case of eight-year-old girl, Aasifa, of Kathua. She was abducted, raped and then murdered by a group of fanatic Hindus backed by Hindu police officials in January, this year.
