KDA land verification process goes to NADRA

KARACHI: Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah presided over a meeting here on Thursday in which it was decided to make KDA land verification process available through NADRA. It was decided at a meeting presided over by Director General KDA Syed Muhammad Ali Shah.

The meeting was also attended among others by Program Officer Nadra Sajjad Hussain, Member Finance KDA Muhammad Kashif Khan, Secretary KDA Khalid Zafar Hashmi, Director Land Muhammad Qasim, Director IT Kamal Siddiqui, Director Recovery Naveed Anwar Siddiqui, Director Finance Wariel Indhar, and Director Estate Shakeel Siddiqui, KDA Spokesperson Akram Sattar.

NADRA officers briefed DG KDA about computerized transfer, motation and other statements related to land. The process of computerization of all land related information in KDA is under way and now the verification of KDA clients will be available through NADRA with the aim to align the Authority with new and modern methods to secure transactions as well as preventing forgery.

During the meeting, DG KDA expressed satisfaction over the proposals from NADRA and constituted a four-member committee, headed by member Finance KDA Muhammad Kashif Khan. The committee will present various proposals. All information related to land, IT and recovery will be available in NADRA. DG KDA said that as they were moving in the right direction, it was necessary to take practical steps to strengthen the KDA.
