KARACHI:Pakistan Civic Society President Mahfoozun Nabi Khan Sunday urged the business leaders to take the issue of K-Electric injustices in larger perspective as both, residential and commercial consumers of electricity in Karachi, are equal victims of false billing of Karachi electric.
The civil society realizes the distress being faced by industrial consumers of Karachi Electric and supports the just stand of industry in respect of billing of power supplier in Karachi, he said in a statement. He asked the representatives of trade and industry to raise the common voice of all consumers of power in Karachi unitedly.
Khan referred the press conference of the representatives of industry and said that the supply of basic utility of electricity to the consumers in Karachi cannot be left at the mercy of the cruel private sector monopoly.
The healthy trend of competition in business is a beauty of private corporate sector which lacks in case of Karachi Electric. The state monopolies in the supply of essential utility like electricity, gas etc. can be tolerated, he added.
