A seminar titled ‘Development and Security – A Shared Responsibility’ was held in Kech, Balochistan, emphasizing the joint responsibility of the state and society in establishing the rule of law and eradicating terrorism and crime. The event, attended by around 200 individuals including assembly members, local politicians, and representatives from various fields, highlighted the need for public participation and coordination with security institutions to achieve lasting peace and development.

During the seminar, IG FC Balochistan (South) Major General Bilal Sarfaraz Khan underscored the Frontier Corps’ role in ensuring security to foster development and welfare projects in the region. He detailed the FC’s success in thwarting 141 terrorist attacks since January, preventing potential tragedies.

Major initiatives by the FC were also outlined, such as constructing homes for widows, rehabilitating educational and health institutions, organizing free medical camps and sports events, and implementing solar systems. The establishment of FC Khidmat Markaz and educational programs for youth were also discussed as part of the FC’s contributions.

The participants resolved to actively collaborate with security agencies and adopted a declaration to form a Kech Civil Liaison Committee. This committee aims to enhance mutual coordination, communication, and problem-solving efforts in the region.
