Khairpur district’s all villages undergo 18 hours load shedding

Khairpur:All villages in Khairpur district have been facing over 18 hours of electricity load shedding in 24 hours on daily basis since the beginning of warming summer season from April, PPI learnt on Sunday.

A villager, Karim Bux, resident of Baharo village, told this scribe that the power load shedding up to 18 hours was being carried out in all villages of Khairpur district as the authorities had failed to reduce power outages. He said that the prolonged power outages had badly hit villages of all eight talukas of the district including Khairpur, Mirwah, Kot Diji Kingri, Sobho Dero, Gambat, Faiz Ganj and Nara.

The business, education and social activities are badly affected due to power outages while people of the villages are passing life in trouble. It seemed that there is no merciful leader, who can reduce prolonged power outages in the district’s villages, he said. Residents of Razidero and Dilawal said their agriculture depends on tube-wells which needed electricity but due to power outage up to 18 hours, their crops had dried up.
