Khairpur police have recovered 20 looted motorcycles, mobile phone, weapons, drugs, and cash in different operations.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, DSP City Khairpur Faraz Ahmed Metlo said that the police team utilized modern technology apprehend a gang involved in looting motorcycles and cash.
Based on the information provided by eight arrested accused Waseem Mangrio, Hizbullah Dharejo, Khan Muhammad, Sahib Khan, Liaquat Jagirani, Gul Hassan Gopang, Kareem Bakhsh Gopang, and Ahmed Ali Gopang, the police recovered 20 looted motorcycles and returned to their rightful owners.
DSP Metlo further revealed that progress was made in a robbery case of an iron store, where Rs1.5 million and a mobile phone were snatched. The police have however recovered the looted mobile phone and were conducting further investigations to recover the cash soon.
He added that over the past eight days, police conducted operations in various areas under different police station jurisdictions, arresting seven absconders and a proclaimed offenders wanted in murder and other criminal cases.
He said that during an encounter, Pir Goth police arrested four suspects with weapons. Two Kalashnikovs and two pistols were seized from their possession. DSP Metlo emphasized that the operations marked a significant step towards restoring peace and eliminating criminal elements in the region.
