Khilji deplores murder of ANP leader Kasi

QUETTA: Nawab Salman Khan Khilji, Chief of Khilji tribe and Chairman, Awami Majlis Amal, Pakistan has said that the guilt of one individual might not be construed as the guilt of whole tribe.

Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club with others here on Friday, he said that a conspiracy had been hatched to fan hatred between brotherly tribes of Pishin.

Condemning the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Obaidullah Kasi, central leader of Awami National Party (ANP), he said that besides other tribes and workers of ANP, Khilji tribesmen also protested and strongly condemned the kidnapping and subsequent murder of Malik Obaidullah Kasi.

He said that the charge of kidnapping Malik Obaidullah Kasi was levelled against Zarif Khilji, Waris and five others alleged accused of different tribes, but a campaign of defamation was started only against Khilji tribe. He said that purpose of the conspirators was to fan tribal enmity in district Pishin of Balochistan province.

After the murder of Suhbat Khan Kakar in a clash between two armed groups over land dispute in Nawa Killi area of Quetta, derogatory remarks were passed in a tribal Jirga, he regretted. He said that the guilt of one individual might not be construed as the guilt of whole tribe.
