LARKANA: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh President Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro visited various UCs of Larkana city and distributed relief materials, rations, clothes and other necessary items to the rain victims, according to a statement issued here on Thursday.

Khuhro also assured the victims to provide them all-out help. He said that people in Sindh had suffered a lot due to rain and claimed that they would settle the loss of the victims and resettle them in their homes and would not leave the people of Sindh alone.

He said that due to heavy rain and flash flood in Sindh, rice crop standing on over five million acres had been destroyed and other crops, including cotton, sugarcane, tomatoes and vegetables had also been destroyed due to which there was serious threat of food crisis to surface in the future which was to be overcome for which the federal government should take proactive steps to ensure food supply so that a crisis situation does not arise.
