Srinagar, January 26, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Tribal Coordination Committee and lawyer, Talib Hussain, has said that the real culprits in the rape and murder of minor girl Asifa of Kathua were being shielded in a planned manner. Talib Hussain, who was detained during protests against the murder earlier this week, during a press conference in Jammu said that the persons involved in this heinous crime were not being punished because of political influence.
“The two ribs and a leg of 8-year old victim Asifa were broken. She was given electric shocks and was clubbed by stones,” said Hussain. He also said that the Hindu community of the area supported them when the killing took place. Now the water is being denied to Muslim community and to their animals, he added. Talib Hussain said that circumstantial evidence on the basis of doctors’ version and people who gave her ceremonial bath said that the girl was brutally raped.
The young leader who was arrested by the police on the chaharum of the minor girl while he was leading a peaceful demonstration said, “Police had promised to arrest the accused within 24 hours. Some names of those involved in all this have been revealed. But until now not even a single accused has been arrested.” Instead, Hussain said that police beat him up while he was holding a peaceful demonstration and tried to book him under black law, Public Safety Act.
