Killing of Pattan youth strongly condemned

Srinagar, May 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the President of Anjuman Shari Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, has condemned the killing of a youth Arshad Ahmed Dar of Chanabal area of Pattan.

The 23-year-old Arshad Ahmed Dar, who was injured in Indian forces’ violent action on protesters on 13th May at Chanabal in Pattan area of Baramulla district, succumbed to his injuries at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar on Wednesday night.

Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The use of brutal force has snatched the loved one of a poor family.” He said, the only fault of the protesters was that they were demanding justice for a 3-year-old victim of rape. He prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and patience and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Meanwhile, the High Court Bar Association members at a meeting in Srinagar expressed grief over the demise of Arshad Ahmed Dar.

They also condemned the killing of four youth and injuring of another by Indian troops in Delipora area of Pulwama, yesterday. They appealed to the international community and world human rights organizations to take cognizance of Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
