KP Govt taking practical steps for the promotion of sports: Governor

PESHAWAR: The prize distribution ceremony of 30th Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cricket Tournament held at Governor House on Wednesday.

 

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman was the chief guest of the event. The governor presented the trophy to the team that won the Gold Cup while awarded gold medals to the best performing players.

 

Governor Shah Farman announces Rs 100,000 prize for the winning team of Gold Cup Cricket Tournament. He said cricket is Pakistan’s most popular sport and it is a great pleasure to see the representation of young players in the cricket from our province.

 

He said PTI led provincial government is taking practical steps for the promotion of sports in the province and hoped that people of the province will soon be able to watch international cricket matches in Peshawar. Malik Saad Shaheed Memorial Trust also presented a commemorative shield to the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the end of the ceremony.
