KP Police exhibited exemplary performance against arms, ammunitions and narcotics peddlers during the year 2018

Peshawar, January 09, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police exhibited exemplary performance against arms, ammunitions and narcotics peddlers during the year 2018 as compared to the correspondent year of 2017. The police recovered 1506882 arms and ammunitions during the year 2018 which is 28% more than the recovery of the year 2017. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police under the inspiring leadership of the Inspector General of Police Salahuddin Khan Mehsood kept continuous crackdown against arms, ammunitions and narcotics peddlers during the last year which resulted into recovery of huge cache of arms and ammunitions.

As per comparative statement, police recovered a total of 1176351 arms and ammunitions during the year 2017 while this figure remained 1506882 in the year 2018 which is 28% more than the previous year. Similarly, police had recovered 6161 Short Guns/Repeaters during the year 2017 while this figure shoot up to 6682 in the year 2018 which is 8% more than the previous year. As per statistics 26825 pistols were recovered during the year 2017 while in the year 2018 the police succeeded in recovery of 28134 Pistols which is more than 5 %. In the year 2017, 304 Dagger/Knives were recovered while 315 were recovered in the year 2018 which is more than 11%.

Moreover, 1127133 rounds were taken into police custody during the year 2017 while in the year 2018, police succeeded in recovery of 1457390 rounds which shows 11% increase. Likewise, in the year 2017, 2852 Kalashinkov were recovered while during the last year 2921 were taken in police procession which is 69 number more than the correspondent year. In the year 2017, 924 dynamites were recovered while this figure remained 1073 during the last year which shows 16% increase.

KP police had also recovered 10 bombs in different police action during the year 2017 while 12 bombs were recovered during the year 2018 which is 20% more than the correspondent year of 2017. Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police performance against narcotics peddlers also remained satisfactory and up to the mark during the year 2018.

Police had recovered 20.703 kg Ice during the year 2017 while the last year, police took into procession 26.168 kg Ice which is 26% more than the correspondent year. 18158.856 kg chars had been recovered during the year 2017 while during the year 2018 the police recovered 19051.311kg chars which is 50% more than the previous year. In the year 2017, 392.736 kg opium had been recovered while in the year 2018, 716.088 kg were recovered which shows 82% increase. During the year 2018, the police demonstrated excellent performance against the wine dealers as compared to the performance of the year 2017.
