KSU demands forthwith halt to operation in BARA

Peshawar: Khyber Students Union (KSU) on Tuesday held protest demonstration against the ongoing operation in Bara and warned to besiege Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor House if the operation was not halted.

The protesting demonstrators were holding banners and placards inscribed with different slogans about halting the operation. The participants marched through Sher Shah Suri road opposite Cantonment Railway Station. The demonstrators were led by Haris Khan Afridi, central president of KSU and Muslim Khan Afridi.
Talking to newsmen they said thousands of families had been displaced due to continues operation in Bara. “many innocents have been died due to this operation while hundreds of them lost their limbs and thus become disabled for the whole life,” they said.
The other day, they said a mortar shell falls on the residence of Naikmat central general secretary of KSU, which resulting the killings of two children.
They observed step-mother behaviour had been continued with the people of Khyber Agency as the martyred in this operation were not considered for martyred package.
They appealed to President Asif Zardari, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Barrister Masood Kausar to stop operation in Bara.
