The University of Karachi on Saturday awarded degrees to its 15,341 students of various departments, including 8,041 of 2021 and 7297 of 2022 at its convocation.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori also presented degrees to the students. The convocation was also attended by Sindh Higher Education Commission Chairman Professor Dr Tariq Rafi, Uok Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Khalid Iraqi, professors, lecturers, students’ parents and students themselves.
Addressing the convocation, the Sindh governor said that it was an honor for him to participate in the convocation of university. Mr Tesori said that highly educated youth are the future of the country and the nation.
“I have high expectations from these young people as they have full potential to stabilize and strengthen the country economically. Graduated youths are brightening the name of the country and nation in various fields today,” he said.
Mr Tesori while addressing the students said that you should all clap for the teachers whose hard work led you to start your practical life today. “The students who graduated from Karachi University are brightening not only their name but also of the country in Pakistan and the world.
The Sindh governor advised the students that as your parents had worked hard day and night to bring you to this place, you also have to follow your parents.
