KARACHI:Karachi University Teachers’ Forum (KUTF) on Monday condemned the brutal attack on teachers of various universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
The KUTF in a statement said that it believed that teachers are the epitome of any society and the ones that do not respects them is bound to suffer. “This kind of brutality is unprecedented and height of injustice. Peaceful teachers have been manhandled by KPK authorities and it is a new low in our society.
The university teachers all across Pakistan are one and reject such brutality against our community. If such inhuman behavior is not stopped, then teachers will protest all across Pakistan to show solidarity with our fraternity. ”
“The teachers demanded the arrest of those who committed violence against teachers and fulfillment of the demands of teachers on immediate basis. The teachers of University of Karachi stand side by side with our brethren in these testing times and together we will prevail in acquiring our rights. Our message to our teachers is stand firm on your demands and we all are with you,” it concluded.
