Quetta: A private lab named Fayaz Laboratory was sealed for conducting uncertified tests of novel corona virus.
Dr Naseem Katkezai, Chairman Chief Minister’s Special Committee for Health said that on the instructions of Secretary Health Mudasir Waheed Malik, Secretary Health Department and Director General Health Services Balochistan Dr. Faheem Khan, team of provincial health department led by Dr Naseem Katkezai, Chairman Chief Minister’s Special Committee for Health, Senior Drug Inspector Sarwar Khan Kakar and Yaqoob Wardug in an action sealed Fayaz Laboratory Quetta on account of conducting uncertified tests of novel corona virus.
He said a FIR has also been lodged against the owner of Fayaz Laboratory. He said the lab was charging six thousand rupees for uncertified tests of novel corona virus. He said test facility for novel corona virus test is present at Fatima Jinnah T.B Sanatorium where tests of Covid-19 are being conducted on daily basis.
