LAHORE:An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) of Lahore has reserved its verdict on the request of police seeking 5-day physical remand of 13 women who have allegedly been involved in the arson of the Lahore Corps Commander House during the May 9 attacks.
ATC Judge Abhar Gul Khan on Saturday conducted the hearing of a case related to the attack and arson of the Lahore Corpse Commander House. The court reserved its decision on the 5-day physical remand request of 13 women.
According to the initial reports, the Lahore Police has prepared a list of over 300 women linked to vandalism and arson at Jinnah House during the May 9th protests which erupted as a result of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest.
Recently, the Punjab government has released the details of the women arrested in the May 9 incidents. A total of 32 women were arrested in the May 9 incidents. Out of 32 women arrested and involved in terrorist incidents, 21 have been released. Currently, 11 women are imprisoned in Punjab jails on judicial remand.
