LAHORE: Lahore Police on Sunday arrested as many as 41 motorcyclists for performing stunts on Bund Road Lahore in different operations during the last 24 hours. According to SHO Sanda police station Aamir Shehzad, dozens of motorcyclists gather at Bund Road every Saturday night and perform stunts and wheelies. They used to upload videos of dangerous stunts on social media as well, he added.
On the instruction of SP Allama Iqbal Town Usman Tipu, the police conducted a massive raid and booked at least 41 accused aged between 14-22 years have been arrested and their motorbikes are also seized, he informed. A case has been registered against the accused. Relatives of young motorcyclists gathered outside the police station and raised a hue and cry for their young ones but the police decided to stick to the law. SP Usman said lauded the cops’ effort and said those who risk their lives and others do not deserve any concession.
