LARKANA:The residents of village Ahmed Khan Lashari, located near Ratodero, again held a protest demonstration at Jinnah Bagh Thursday against highhandedness of influential persons who allegedly took Rs 1.8 million from them for granting four jobs in education department two years ago but have not yet refunded after their failure to get employment.
Abdul Waheed Lashari, his son Khalid Hussain, Ghulam Asghar Lashari and others alleged that he gave Rs 1.6 million to SDEO Wahid Bux Bughio, a resident of Mehar, and his agents also obtained Rs200,000 from him as commission and then he gave him three appointment orders of Naib Qasid and Chowkidars.
But after verification all the appointment orders were found bogus, he added. He said after that they demanded a refund of the entire amount from Bughio and his agents Ashraf Korejo, Rashid Korejo, Irfan Korejo and Naveed Panhwar but they refused and started hurling them threats of dire consequences.
He said they approached the National Accountability Bureau, Sukkur, for fraud but it advised them to write to the Anti-Corruption Establishment, Larkana. “We submitted an application to ACE Larkana but he again asked them to go to Karachi. Despite application to ACE Director, no action has so far been taken against the fraudulent persons, so immediate stern legal action against the fraudy persons be taken,” he said.
