NAUNDERO:Unknown thieves barged into the house of one resident Asghar Memon here late last night and stole goods worth Rs 1.6 million but the police have done nothing either to follow the footprints of the thieves or to recover the material.
Memon told newsmen that the Pole Mounted Transformer (PMT) of the Khuhra Muhalla, which is located behind Bhutto House, was dysfunctional hence the family members went to spend the night at my brother’s house at 12 midnight. He said when they returned early in the morning today they found the locks cut and goods were scattered in the rooms of his home. He said Naundero Police authorities were immediately informed but the SHO Shahid Memon did not even bother to visit the crime scene and sent a mobile team.
He said ten tola gold, Rs58000 cash and prize bonds of Rs10000 have been stolen. He said another neighbour Shahid Mangi was also deprived of his entire belongings including gold and cash a few days ago but the cops are still mum. He said in the recent past thieves have stolen goods from the houses of about 12 citizens due to which residents have been forced to spend sleepless nights.
He said these residents include Hidayatullah Abro, Siraj Memon, Naimat Channo, Nazir Abro and others but their costly stolen material has not yet been recovered by the cops. He sald lawlessness has become a crucial challenge for the police but so far they have failed to curb crimes and eliminate criminals who have targeted the hometown of Bhutto leaders.
He said their locality is very near to Bhutto House but even then no concrete actions have been taken which shows that either cops themselves are involved in the crimes or the criminals are enjoying their support. He alleged that SHO and his subordinates are enjoying political support of influential PPP local leaders who should be exposed and taken to task adding stern action must also be initiated against the cops besides replacing all the local policemen. He demanded immediate recovery of all stolen goods of all the residents or else shutter down strike will be observed in the town.
