LARKANA: Armed robbers who came on three bikes looted staff members of a private company of Rs1.1 million and three mobiles phones after making them captive in the limits of Hyderi police station here on Monday.
Company manager Tanveer Mugheri and Incharge Tanveer Laghari told media persons that the robbers arrived on three motorcycles and deprived them of the cash and cellular phones and escaped easily from the office located on Naundero Chowk. They said that they informed the area police immediately but they have taken no action so far either to chase the looters or to recover the robbed amount and other goods. They urged the higher police officers to look into the issue of lawlessness and ensure recovery of the cash and goods.
In another incident, a trader of Imam Raza Rice Mill, Ashique Ali Khaskheli, was deprived of Rs1.5 million from Miro Khan Road of Qamber which has been strongly condemned by the Sindh Balochistan Rice Millers and Traders Association, here on Monday.
In a statement, they alleged that two unknown armed suspects looted Rs. 15 lakh cash from his manager Ashique Aijaz Mugheri when he reached the gate of Imam Raza Rice Mill after withdrawing from a private bank and escaped easily.
They said that central president and general secretary of the association Qamaruddin Gopang and Asad Ali Tunio respectively have strongly condemned the incident and contacted the SSP of Qamber-Shahdadkot Saddam Hussain Khaskhali and gave details about the robbery incident and also demanded to return the money immediately or they will observe strike against lawlessness, on which SSP Qamber Shahdadkot fully responded.
They said that the SSP assured to get the money returned as soon as possible. They further said that SSP Saddam Khaskhali also gave the number of DIB police incharge Haresh Kumar to contact him in future to avoid such an unpleasant incident saying that if you withdraw the money from the bank in the form of cash in future please contact the DIB in-charge Haresh Kumar and get the police protocol and take the money safely to your mill.
Meanwhile, General Secretary, Sindh Balochistan Rice Millers Association, Qamber Taluka, Amanullah Memon said that we withdrew the strike call and we will meet with SSP again next Saturday, in which if we do not get a satisfactory response, then we will chalk out another line of action.
