QUETTA: Sardar Saleh Muhammad Bhotani, Minister for Local Government and Rural Development has said that owing to inordinate delay in implementing the decisions made in the meetings of provincial finance department, it was impossible for the Local Government and Rural Development Department to pay salaries to the lower staff, pensions to the pensioners and carry on day-to-day affairs of the department by utilizing non-development fund of the department.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, Bhotani said that immediate release of funds of Local Government and Rural Development be ensured enabling the department to pay salaries to the lower staff of local bodies and remove obstacles in executing development schemes.
