PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Local Government and Rural Development Sardar Faisal Amin Khan Gandapur on Thursday said that Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) are greatly improving their services and facilities all over the province owing to the close supervision and continuous directions of Chief Minister Mahmood Khan and Minister for Health Taimur Khan Jhagra.
He said the people of Dera Ismail Khan (DIK) and adjoining districts including the Newly Merged Areas of South Waziristan, FR DIK and FR Tank are fully benefitting these health care services. He eulogized the contributions of field health staff associated with these institutions and assured them all out support in discharging their professional obligations.
He was talking to doctors and paramedics during his surprise visits of various MTI centers in DIK and expressed his satisfaction over its working and efficiency. The Minister appreciated the good will gesture of health authorities for sharing progress update on health cover in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with cabinet members and seeking their inputs too.
He said the government initiatives on Improvement and Enhancement of women and Children ward in DIK, establishing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for children, most modern 32 slices CT scan installation, Sehat Card + Ehsaas Tahafuz program as well as DIK hospital are some of the 14 best hospitals in Pakistan offering these facilities.
Sardar Faisal Amin Gandapur paid glowing tributes to the Chief Minister KP and Health Minister for undertaking outstanding health reforms and initiatives in DIK. He said the progress on Regional Blood Center in DIKHAN for South KP including approval of the project staff regularization, under construction Burn Center at MMTH DIK, with 20 male/female patients capacity are hallmark achievements while lots more steps are in pipeline.
He said all such candid steps would greatly contribute in removing the sense of deprivation of the people in various social sectors including health cover after the decades of neglect in the past regimes of other political parties whose rulers did nothing for welfare of the people except plundering the public exchequer with both hands for their personal gains and transferring the looted wealth to their foreign accounts.
