The body of a woman who jumped into the Indus River with her child has been recovered, but the innocent child is still missing.
The deceased has been identified as 20yearold Fazila, wife of Ashfaq Hussain Laghari. Rescue workers recovered her body from the river after a 10hour operation. Her twoyearold daughter, Bhali, is missing.
Fazila, a resident of Bajrani Laghari village near Moro, allegedly jumped into the river yesterday evening. Family members claim that severe economic hardship, illness, and poverty may have led to the tragic incident. The family is in mourning.
