Quetta:Locust attack has caused loss of millions of rupees to standing crops and garden in district Barkhan of Balochistan.
According to local growers of District Barkhan, locusts have attacked standing crops and gardens in Pahao, Nahar Coat, Rarkun and Achri areas of Barkhan while swarm of locusts also reached Sanjawi. They said if swarm of locusts were not controlled it might cause huge loss to the local growers. They demanded Commissioner Sibi Division and authorities of Agriculture Department to conduct spray in the affected areas.
