KARACHI:The nurses of Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital (SGLGH) staged a protest demonstration at Karachi Press Club on Thursday against the issuance of show-cause notices, harassments of nurses and for the provision of security to staff nurses.
The SGLGH’s female and male nurses were carrying banners and placards inscribed with different slogans like withdraw show-cause notices, end harassment of nurses, stop illegal changes in duty roaster and provide security.
The protesting nurses said the Sindh health department had issued show-cause notices to 27 nurses without any reason while Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College Lyari administration had been interfering into the administrative affairs of the hospital and issuing threats to nurses.
They demanded of Chief Minister Sindh, Health Minister and other authorities concerned to remove OPS officials from their posts, withdraw show-cause notices and end harassment at the workplace.
