Islamabad, June 28, 2019 (PPI-OT): Hon’ble Yang Amat Berhormat Dato Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia said that his country was keen to further enhance bilateral trade and investment relations with Pakistan as both countries have great potential to cooperate with each other in many fields. She said this while addressing as Chief Guest the Awards Ceremony organized by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
She said that Pakistan should also use cricket diplomacy for promoting bilateral relations and consider Malaysia as its second destination for organizing cricket matches. She appreciated the initiative of ICCI for organizing Awards Ceremony in Malaysia and hoped that such events would create new opportunities for promoting business linkages between the private sectors of both countries. She also distributed awards amongst various companies of Islamabad for showing excellent performance in various fields of business and congratulated the award winners.
H.E. Ikram Mohammad Ibrahim High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan, H.E. Atif Sharif Mian Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan for Malaysia, Rafat Farid Senior Vice President, Iftikhar Anwar Sethi Vice President ICCI, Sheikh Amir Waheed Chairman BOC Committee and former President ICCI and many other dignitaries attended the event.
Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that ICCI has organized Business Opportunities and Awards Ceremony in Malaysia to promote business linkages between the private sectors of both countries and recognize the contribution of top performing businesses of Islamabad at international level. He said the initiative would also motivate other businesses to excel in business field and get recognized internationally. He congratulated all those companies that received awards for their excellent performance.
Ahmed Hassan Moughal said that Awards Ceremony has provided a great opportunity to Malaysian entrepreneurs to meet with business icons of Pakistan and explore business collaborations with them. He hoped that organizing Business Opportunities Conference and Awards Ceremony in Malaysia would further strengthen business linkages between the private sector of both countries and help in improving two-way trade between Pakistan and Malaysia.
