NAUNDERO: One person Dost Muhammad Khakhrani was gunned down in Katcha area of Ketty Mumtaz police station area allegedly in an old dispute between two groups of Khakhrani community of Qurban Khakhrani and Nizam Khakhrani in Mitho Khakhrani village, near here on Thursday.
According to reports both sides used sophisticated weapons in firing against each other which continued for five long hours and there was nobody to check them as to how these weapons reached them. On receipt of information, Ketty police reached the spot where reports claimed that firing continued for five hours between the two groups due to which the body could not be lifted.
Finally, police shifted the body to Government Hospital here for legal formalities where one of the heirs of the deceased Nasim Khakhrani alleged that Dadan of Nizam’s group was killed on 26th October and his allegation was on the Qurban’s group and they took the revenge today.
Police said that the incident has taken place owing to an old dispute going on between the two groups of Khakhrani community adding that a case will be registered after postmortem. It must also be mentioned here that Rubina wife of Ghulam Muhammad Khakhrani of nearby village was also killed on 2nd October in the firing of both groups who had no concern with any disputing group.
