SHIKARPUR:A man was gunned down within the precincts of Hamayoon police station near Shikarpur on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, a group of armed men belonging to Bhayo clan attacked its rival group men with weapons near village Jagan. As a result, a man, Meer Hassan, 35, son of Laddo Bhayo, was killed. The killers fled to an unknown destination after a swift operation.
Area police rushed to the scene, shifted the body to RHC Sultankot for medico-legal formalities and later handed over to his relatives. The cause behind the murder was stated to be an old enmity over matrimonial dispute developed between the two groups of Bhayo community of village Izzat-je-i-Wandh.
No FIR could be registered till filing this news. However, the police have started a probe into the incident.
