KAMBER: A man was killed in the pretext of honour in village Shahi Khan Chandio of Taluka Kamber on Thursday.

According to police, Lal Bakhsh Chandio opened fire on his maternal brother Nawaz Chandio, son of Jameel Ahmed Chandio, over honor. As a result, he suffered severe bullet injuries and died. The accused fled to unknown destination after swift operation.

Police shifted the body to the Kamber hospital and later handed over to the heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities. The case could not be lodged till filing this report. The police have however started a probe into the incident and search for the fleeing accused. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the village.
