KARACHI: Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety and Chairpersons of the Benazir Income Support Programme Shazia Atta Marri has directed the concerned authorities of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) that the payment centers should be opened on Saturdays and Sundays so that an amount of 25,000 could be disbursed smoothly among the deserving flood affected families under the Benazir Income Support Programme.

She said that Prime Minster Shehbaz Sharif had announced relief cash programme for the financial assistance of flood victims and compensation amount of Rs25,000 was being given to each flood-affected family to help them recover their financial losses. She said in a statement that Benazir Income Support Program was providing financial aid of Rs25,000 to each flood affected family in the flood-affected areas of Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

According to details, the Government of Pakistan has disbursed Rs. 25,000 to each flood-hit family and a total of Rs. 19.74 billion rupees aid among 789,631 flood-hit families have also been disbursed across the country under the Benazir Income Support Programme. More than 11.71 billion rupees amount has disbursed in 464,98.
