A joint operation by the Excise and Taxation Department South and the Pakistan Navy today resulted in a significant seizure of narcotics and alcohol in Balochistan’s Kund Malir coastal region on Wednesday.
Authorities confiscated 8,000 bottles of imported liquor, 600 kilograms of high-grade hashish, and 200 kilograms of opium. The estimated international market value of the confiscated contraband is a staggering Rs. 24.28 billion.
The operation, directed by Excise, Taxation, and Anti-Narcotics South Director General Muhammad Zaman, targeted smuggling activities in the area. The combined forces intercepted the illicit shipment during their patrol. This represents a major blow to drug trafficking networks operating in the province.
The confiscated substances are currently under the custody of law enforcement. Further investigations are underway to identify and apprehend individuals involved in the smuggling operation. The collaborative efforts of the Excise Department and the Navy highlight the commitment to combating the illegal trade of narcotics in the region.
