KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced to hold the annual matriculation exams from May 8 across the province including Karachi. Minister of Education Board Sindh Ismail Rahoo has said that exams of Ninth and Matriculation will be conducted from May 8 in Sindh including Karachi. In this regard exams will be conducted in two shifts in all divisions of Sindh and schedule thereof also been issued.
Ismail Rahoo demanded from the Federation and K- Electric that due to the increase in heat intensity in Sindh, students will face difficulties in giving exams, load shedding should not be done in the exam centers during the ninth and matric exams.
He said that more than 700,000 male and female students will participate in the matriculation examinations in Sindh, in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mirpurkhas divisions, the ninth and tenth grade examinations are starting from May 8, In Karachi 400, and 25 examination centers in Hyderabad are sensitive.
The Provincial Minister Education Board said that the in-charge of the examination centers will provide facilities to provide cold water to the students and security will be tightened inside and outside the examination centers to prevent copy culture.
Ismail Rahoo further said that vigilance teams have been formed for all examination centers, there will be a ban on the use of mobile phones by teachers and students in examination centers, section 144 has been enforced around examination centers during examinations in all divisions. A child caught while doing a copy will be disqualified.
