Media Brief for STPF 2018-23 Consultative Session at Quetta Chamber of Small Industries, Quetta

Quetta, February 09, 2018 (PPI-OT): The second consultative session of STPF 2018-23 by Ministry of Commerce and Textile, in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan especially Quetta was held at the conference room of the Quetta Chamber of Small Industries. The purpose of the session was to seek the suggestions for the trade policy of STPF 2018-23.

The Director of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Karachi Mr. Abdul Karim Memon briefed the participants about the previous STPFs, their background, and targets, current initiatives and goals of the STPF 2018-23. Major issues by the traders of the region were discussed which were non-issuance of the E-forms, Demand for trade of local currencies with Iran and Afghanistan, Quarantine Certificates, Request for Tax Relaxation, Support of the Government for introduction of Cultivation of Palm Trees in the coastal areas of Balochistan and Support for Women Entrepreneurs.

The traders appreciated the efforts of TDAP and Ministry of Commerce and Textile for considering consultation with the traders of Balochistan. They felt satisfied over the initiative of five-year plan strategy which is implementable. Shields were given to TDAP representatives by the QCCI.
