Karachi, April 27, 2018 (PPI-OT): Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Minhaj A. Qidwai along with Director Licensing and Accreditation Dr. Farhana Memon, held a meeting on Tuesday April 24, 2018 in Director Health office, Civic Center, Karachi. This was attended by Director Health with his staff, also all District Health officers (DHO’s), Taluka Health officers (THO’s) of Karachi.
Addressing the Meeting, Dr. Qidwai said that purpose of setting up Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) is to improve the quality of healthcare services and ban quackery in the province of Sindh in all its forms and manifestations. SHCC is an autonomous body corporate in Sindh to regulate healthcare services and ensure clinical governance.
Director Licensing and Accreditation Dr. Farhana Memon, highlighted on the registration process she informed the healthcare establishment are required to register and licensed by the SHCC as per registration and licensing process. The registration forms are available on SHCC website www.shcc.org.pk, and can be completed online. In this regard, 3 public notice from SHCC have been published in newspaper after the timeline.
There unregister HCE considered unhealthy practitioner in Sindh province according to the Act of Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC). The participants shared their experience in their field and ensured their corporation. The Director Health was thanked for organizing the meeting and a follow up meeting was planned as way forward.
