Karachi, May 10, 2019 (PPI-OT): Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank and the Best Bank in Pakistan and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore co-branding opportunities and to facilitate PIA passengers. Under this MoU, Meezan Bank will be a part of the biggest-ever Hajj operations this year and provide the Hujjaj with umbrellas and Hajj booklets especially designed for their spiritual journey.
The MoU was signed by the President and CEO of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited – Air Marshal Arshad Malik and President and CEO of Meezan Bank – Mr. Irfan Siddiqui. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Sohail Khan, Company Secretary – Meezan Bank, Mr. Urooj ul Hassan, Head of Investment Banking – Meezan Bank and Mr. Muhammad Adil Sami, Head of Marketing – Meezan Bank whereas PIA was represented by all the Chiefs and Heads of Departments including: COO – Mr. Aijaz Mazhar, CCO – Mr. Ali Tahir Qasim, CFO – Mr. Haseeb Ahmed, CTO – Mr. Amir Ali, CPO – Mr. Younus Khan, Advisor to CEO AVM – Noor Abbas.*
Speaking at the occasion Mr. Irfan Siddiqui said: “This MoU will prove as a precursor to a wide-ranging partnership, whereby both PIA and Meezan Bank resolve to work towards improving the value chain for their respective customers.”
