NAUSHEHRO FEROZE:,,, Mehrabpur police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a bandit in injured condition after an encounter.

According to Mehrabpur police, the bandit Waqqas Ali opened fire at the police team during patrolling in their area. The police retaliated with fire in which the alleged bandit was injured. The police arrested the accused bandit and also claimed to have recovered an unlicensed pistol, three bullets, and a bike from his possession.

The police said that the bandit was a habitual criminal, and earlier, he had been booked in a narcotics case. On the other hand, sources said that the accused was injured in a fake encounter.
