Islamabad: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has announced to bring real estate brokers, builders, car dealers, restaurants and barbershops into the tax net in the next few months.

The finance minister in a Twitter message said that millions of shops are being brought into the tax net in phases.

Miftah said he had brought jewelers into the net and would also bring all these professionals into the net in the next few months.

The finance minister said that in order to bring small shopkeepers and jewelers into the tax net, he had talked to the associations and this decision was taken in consultation with them.

Now, I will try to bring real estate dealers, builders, housing society developers, car dealers, restaurants and salons into the tax net but none of this will be done by force but through consultation, he added.
