Islamabad:Information Minister Senator Syed Shibli Faraz has said the government believes in freedom of expression and ready to play a role for the welfare of journalists and protect their rights.
Talking with President National Press Club Shakeel Anjum here on Wednesday, he said journalistic organizations should also play an effective role in resolving salary issues of media workers.
He stressed the need for improvement in the membership process of unions of journalists, to encourage working journalists and welfare of media workers as well as resolving their issues. Principal Information Officer Shaheera Shahid was also present in the meeting.
