Islamabad, January 17, 2018 (PPI-OT):Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister of Defence Production, Science and Technology met with the Iranian Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Mansour Gholami on Tuesday and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the field of Science and Technology, says a press release received here today from Iran.
Referring to the 2004 MoU between the two countries, the two sides emphasized greater efforts to remove the gaps in the research field which was agreed upon by the two sides. The Federal Minister proposed that Pakistan-Iran Joint Technology Park to be setup in Pakistan with the assistance of Iran. Prior to the Ministerial Meeting, experts from both sides held a meeting to identify areas of cooperation. Bio-Technology, Renewable Energy and Oceanography sectors were identified as priority areas during the expert level meeting to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
