QUETTA:Rehmatullah Nurzai, President, Balochistan Martial Arts Association (BMA), has said that events of different discipline of Martial Arts under “Mix Martial Arts Championship, 2022” would be held in Quetta city from March 21 to March 22, 2022 in connection with Pakistan’s Day celebrations.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Nurzai said that players of “Mix Martial Arts” from different sports academies of the province would take part in the event scheduled to be held in due date in the provincial capital, adding that Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Imran Gichki and Director, Balochistan Sports Board, Dura Baloch had been taking concrete steps to promote different discipline of sports, including Martial Arts, in the province at grass root level in accordance with national sports policy and provincial sports policy, 2008.

He said that it was a good omen that different sports associations affiliated with Balochistan Sports Board were being patronised and financially assisted by the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Government of Balochistan on the directions of Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Minister for Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs to get the events of their respective sports associations arranged.
