The PARCO has announced construction of a Modern Trauma Center at Shikarpur Civil Hospital at a cost of 30 million, said MPA Imtiaz Shaikh.
According to a report on Sunday, a high-level meeting was held at the DHO Office in Shikarpur. Pakistan People’s Party MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh Chaired the meeting. The PARCO Company CSR Nadeem Ajot Chishti, DHO Shikarpur Dr. Waseem-ud-Din Shaikh, Focal Person Dr. Jhangir Shaikh, Dr. Zaheer Shams Bhutto, Civil Hospital AMS Dr Zaheer Abbasi, doctors and other PARCO officials participated in the meeting.
During the meeting an announcement made that a trauma center in Civil Hospital Shikarpur would be constructed.
The participants were briefed about the expenses of trauma center, operation theaters and the equipment needed for the trauma center and operation theaters.
On this occasion, former provincial minister MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh spoke to the media and said that they were going to give another gift to the people of Shikarpur. He said that in Shikarpur Civil Hospital, with the support of PARCO, they were setting up a modern type trauma center at a cost of 30 million rupees and its civil works would be completed within 18 months.
The trauma center will have three operation theatres, an emergency ward and a surgical ward with central oxygen and modern equipment, he said. MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh further said that the establishment of trauma center will benefit the people of Shikarpur district and its surrounding areas.
He said that PARCO Company was not only going to build the trauma center at Civil Hospital but it had also established an educational institution TCF School in Shikarpur, where the children were given quality education. He said that Parco Company was also providing facilities to the Taluk Hospital of Khanpur where dental machinery and all equipment and X-ray machine had been given to the hospital.
After the meeting, MPA Imtiaz Ahmed Sheikh along with PARCO Head Carport Affairs and CSR Nadeem Ajot Chishti visited the TCF School which was established on Rustam Road in Shikarpur with the support of PARCO.
