Mushaal demands release of Yasin Malik

Islamabad, September 10, 2021 (PPI-OT):The Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation (PCO), Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has demanded of the Indian government to immediately release from New Delhi’s Tihar Jail the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, whose mother is battling for life in a hospital in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Mushaal Mullick, who is the wife of illegally detained Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement on Friday said that the mother and sister of her husband contracted coronavirus and both are hospitalized in critical condition. Therefore, she demanded that Indian government should immediately issue Yasin Malik’s release order from Tihar Jail on humanitarian grounds so that he could look after his critically ill mother and sister.

Mushaal Mullick said the health of Yasin Malik’s mother is fast deteriorating with each passing day due to her long separation from her son, as the brutal occupation authorities have not allowed him to be with her for over two years. She appealed that everyone should pray for her ailing mother-in-law and sister-in-law Abida Baji.

The Hurriyat leader lamented that her husband is also facing serious health issues and the fascist Indian government is not providing him much-needed medicines. She further said that the occupation authorities used all brutal means and inhuman tactics to silence Yasin Malik’s voice but they miserably failed in their nefarious designs.

Mushaal Mullick went on to say that Yasin Malik is torch-bearer of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and he would take his mission to its logical conclusion, come what may. The PCO Chairperson deplored that the Indian forces unleashed waves of oppression and barbarism on the unarmed Kashmiri people but the world powers are looking the brutalities and atrocities just like silent spectators.

She also expressed her heartfelt condolence over the sad demise of the illegally detained Kashmiri leader Raja Merajuddin Kalwal’s mother, who passed away in Srinagar. She demanded that Raja Merajuddin Kalwal, who has also been lodged in Tihar Jail for the last four years, should be released immediately so as he could perform the last rites of his mother.
